File Mounting and Removal
The handpiece features a push-button mechanism for mounting and removing the file.
To Mount the File
- Press the push button to open the chuck.
- Insert the K file handle into the chuck.
- Release the push button to lock the file in position.
- Ensure the file is firmly mounted before use.
To Remove the File
- Press the push button with your thumb.
- Pull the file to remove it.
Lubrication
- Attach the E-Type Spray Nozzle to the lubricant spray nozzle until it is firmly seated.
- Shake the lubricant can 3–4 times before use.
- Insert the E-Type Spray Nozzle into the rear of the handpiece.
- Spray for approximately 2–3 seconds until oil comes out of the handpiece head.
- Do not apply too much lubricant.
- Clean the external surface after use.
Cleaning and Sterilization
Steam autoclaving is the recommended sterilization method.
Autoclave Procedure
- Remove dirt and debris from the handpiece and clean it using an alcohol-immersed cotton swab or cloth. Do not use a wire brush.
- Lubricate the handpiece with the recommended lubrication spray.
- Place the handpiece inside an autoclave pouch and seal the pouch.
- Autoclave for 20 minutes at 121°C or 15 minutes at 134°C.
- Keep the handpiece in the autoclave pouch until use to maintain cleanliness.
